About This Initiative

Thanks to the support of the New Hampshire Department of Education (NHED) and Granite Edvance, Xello is available at no cost to high school students across New Hampshire.

Granite Edvance, formerly known as the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF Network), has been a trusted partner in education for over 60 years, helping New Hampshire families navigate the complex journey of planning and paying for higher education.

The NHED has been supporting career and work-based learning in the Granite State for several years, and is determined to help its students and their families navigate the sometimes confusing pathways to career readiness and post-secondary education opportunities. This collaborative initiative between NHED, Granite Edvance, and Xello doubles down on those efforts and ensures ongoing teamwork with schools as they strive to connect classroom learning to careers.

We are thrilled to partner with the NH Department of Education to jointly fund access to Xello for all students – the platform is a wonderful resource and complements the work our team is doing throughout the state to provide direct support and resources to students, families, and school counselors.

Assessment and Exploration

Interactive assessments help students understand their interests, skills, values, personality types and learning styles, and help match students to related careers.

Students then explore career portfolios, containing state and regional labor market data, and interviews with people working in these fields. This information helps students discover high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand careers they may otherwise have not known of.
